POINT PLEASANT BEACH – Changes will be coming soon now that Point Pleasant Beach officials have grown tired of wrong-way drivers causing trouble on the borough's streets. Mayor Paul Kanitra said he and the council are exploring problem spots all over town – such as Route 35 and Arnold Avenue, as well as Inlet Drive – where people are constantly driving the wrong way. "We even saw an incident first-hand to hammer things home," he said. "Changes will be coming over the next year." Kanitra said the council has been working hard on signage issues, and the town is looking at a "permanent middle-of-the-road solution to replace the temporary sign that's made a big difference already." For Arnold and 35, there will be more road painting, he said. "And we're working on a traffic plan for the town overall, identifying problem areas and solutions," he said. It's going to be part of a year-long project, or longer, he said.
