POINT PLEASANT BEACH – Need a pothole fixed?
Point Pleasant Beach has found a solution that officials say is supposed to really work this time.
Mayor Paul Kanitra announced last week that "The Pothole Killers" have arrived in Point Pleasant Beach.
And in recent days, they've been working to repair craters that have caused problems for Point Pleasant Beach drivers for decades.
Pothole Killers of Fairless Hills, Pa. uses a proprietary mix that seals the damaged area and lasts five to 10 years, Kanitra said.
"For years, we've just thrown a patch on top of potholes and degraded areas of our streets," Kanitra said on Facebook. "It generally only lasts three to six months and never seems to fix the problem properly."
The Pothole Killers will come back again as needed, he said. Indeed, Kanitra was even taking requests from people who would like to fix problem potholes in Point Pleasant Beach.
