Been playing for over 15 years with experience playing in settings from piano/drums duo, funk/jazz trios, jam bands and various other projects. Versatile across many genres but mainly interested in Funk, Jazz, Blues, R&B/Soul music and classic rock. looking to form a doo-wop group...must be familiar with the songs of the 1950's..i play a snare drum with brushes only for a softer sound...some songs i sing include artists The Penguins, Flamingos, Moonglows...you should know these artists and more...instrumentals should include keyboard, sax, and good vocals...game plan is to rehearse and play gigs... Motown, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s to contemporary upbeat popular rock. Looking to perform as often as possible along the South Florida coast. We currently jam at DC and Markee studios. Hate to state this, but must know how to keep time, play straight, be a fast learner. Please respond with links to something we can hear and see. Will no longer spend time on responses without proof of your playing. Starting with my age will likely keep many from reading any further, but it means I offer 43 years of professional experience. I like to play and sing, and I enjoy a variety of music. I’ve found most audiences also prefer a large variety, so I’m not interested in playing only one genre. I sing country and classic rock, I prefer Country from the 80’s and 90’s, or even some of the older stuff. Yes there is some new stuff I like but prefer the 80's/90's country with good harmonies. I’ve already had a long career in music, so I’m not looking to play every Friday and Saturday… 1/3 weeks a month would work well. You must have reliable transportation, and be willing to practice once a week. Auditions to be held immediately. Please reply with AUDIO/VIDEO of yourself playing and singing. Everyone works or is retired.Established rock band seeks a DRIVING drummer to complete our line up of keyboards, guitar, bass, vocals and sax. Hopefully someone that is NOT in several bands and able to learn new songs. We play covers and our own original material (Rock/Blues). We are very into recording. We are all 40+.
