Do you love making funky, jammy horn-heavy band music like Lettuce, Garage a Trois, Butcher Brown, Soulive, Motet? or OG horn bands like the JB Horns, Chicago, Steely Dan, EWF? or funky fusion jazz like Freddie Hubbard, Weather Report, Brecker Brothers, Herbie Hancock? or avant garde/experimental stuff like Moon Hooch, clowncore, mammal hands, Sons of Kemet, BADBADNOTGOOD? I am coordinating a group of musicians to participate in a casual jam session thing...maybe something more if it works? Maybe you will find the missing piece for your band, or expand your network of like-minded musicians to do something separate....that would be great too. *This is not a hired gun or pro opportunity* this is for *fun and love of the music* Sessions will be at a rehearsal studio in the area of Long Beach/Westside/South of LA to start. Open to trying "unconventional" combos (duo/trio with non-standard instrumentation) or all-in on a "full" horns band* (drums, bass, guitar, keys, vocals, brass & woodwind section, strings, choir) or anything in between. Also, If you already have a band and are horn-curious, LKM know...I could be that "first time" that changes your world! * this is pretty much impossible to start from scratch in my experience I play trumpet (with effects rig if and when appropriate) and I don't need to be the main character. I am a hobbiest/amateur with a family and non-music career but I have been playing trumpet and making music for a long time. Did I mention this is for fun not to "make it"?
