Bass player looking to start metal band

I have been playing bass off and on for 20 years. I am by no means a professional. Wanting to get together with some people who want to form a ground up band where we can work together and progress to playing shows and so on. My interest are in heavy metal black metal death metal. I am 50 so if you are hung up on age I will probably not be a good fit. I do have pro gear and transportation and willing to help pay for jam space.
