Understand, singer’s voice’s are not a guitar or a piano. >> So glad someone posted this. As a singer myself I'm often amused and often annoyed at how you are expected to step into a situation and sing the likes of Iron Maiden, Ac/dc, Journey, Boston, GNR, Metallica, etc. like it's nothing. NOBODY can do everything. I have a really wide range but still there's stuff I can't do. And the thought that some guy is just going to nail like 12 different type of singers all with wildly different sounds is so unbelievably bone headed. And it's not just range. Sometimes you can hit the note but your voice is just too different from the original singer. So key changes won't help. Journey literally had to travel half way around the world to find a suitable replacement for its lead singer. But you're going to find him down at the local honkey tonk or responding to craig's list ads LOL. FIND THE SINGER THEN develop the set list
