A messenger is a person who makes deliveries between business and residential locations and may travel by foot or public transportation. They may transport different items such as but not limited to documents, small boxes, food products, medical tests and other items RESPONSIBLITIES A messenger must be responsible, independent and very punctual. They are given a daily assignment and are expected to carry it out. REQUIRED SKILLS Should be familiar with the geographic area of NYC and be able to maneuver through heavy urban congestion. Knowledge of trains routes and streets of NYC Should be in general good health as there is a lot of fast walking Ability to carry up to 20lbs QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience is preferred but not necessary for the right candidate Ability to navigate a route successfully & independently Ability to navigate a route successfully & independently At least 21 years of age Must be willing to work in any weather condition (heat, rain, snow, etc.) Must be able to carry and walk with at least 10 lbs. Comfort /familiarity with basic smartphone operations Ability to utilize smartphones for two-way communication with our Operations Team   Must have updated active smartphone with internet service and In Good Condition (i.e., No Cracked Screens) Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively read in English LOCATION/DAYS NYC Area Full & Part time Available 5 days per week Flexible Schedules starting as early as 6 AM and as late as 6 PM
