Hello there. I am posting here about my 2 year old male GSD. We have had him since he was 7 weeks. He has been the sweetest, gentlest boy until recently. We had to move in with family and they have a dog that’s aggressive toward him. Bear has never retaliated or done anything to this dog. Out of the blue last week our dog attacked one of our children. He bit him several times and it was quite an ordeal for everyone. My child I believe, wasn’t respecting our dog’s boundaries, but the attack really took me by surprise. This has never happened before. We had an instance today with my dog being aggressive again, but he didn’t bite anyone. I really am just at a loss at what to do. I don’t trust him anymore and I can’t let an attack happen again to any of my children. I love Bear so much and I want the very best for him. I just can’t at this time take the risk of my children getting hurt. I have contacted multiple rescues and no one is willing to take him. He is not fixed and is in the midst of being treated for heart worms. All of this combined has made it difficult to find a place that will take him. I am not asking for any re-homing fee. If you have experience with GSD’s and would be willing to give him a chance that would be the best scenario I could think of. If you can’t take him maybe you can give me some advice on where I might look to for placement. This is truly the hardest thing in the world. Thank you for reading.
