Learn to use the Muse 2D laser at our space This class is for folks new to using a laser cutter. Members who successfully complete this class will be certified to use the laser at the space on their own. Non-members need to join for access to this and many other tools at the makerspace. This Intro class will cover: laser safetyhow a CO2 laser workswhat can and can't be cuthow to import a file containing both raster and vector information into the laser softwarehow to determine cut and engrave settingsbasics of Retina Engrave 3.0 softwareStart up and shut down proceduresEach participant will set up, cut and engrave their own badge in this class. All proceeds go to support North End Makerspace North End Makers is a community that runs a makerspace in North Seattle. We are an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit. Masks and social distancing enforced. IMPORTANT INFO: Refund policy: We currently do not offer refunds or transfers between classes. You may, however, transfer your ticket to another person who is 18 or older. If you need help finding someone to take your spot, you are welcome to post in the class event on our Facebook page or Discord, or ask us to share your email address with the class waitlist. For your personal safety, please wear closed-toe shoes, tie long hair back, and avoid any dangling jewelry or baggy clothing. You do not need to bring a paper ticket. Save a tree.
