GREEENBELT, MD — The aim of Patch Local Heroes is to recognize members of the community who are going above and beyond during these trying times. Readers are invited to submit individuals they think are deserving of recognition. Patch Local Heroes recently recognized Candice Carter, an employee at Brookdale Woodward Estates in Bowie, for her work helping residents at the assisted living center during the coronavirus pandemic. Carter turned around and nominated her coworker, Paula Gupta, to be a Patch Local Hero. Paula has been an essential part of our team caring and keeping our residents safe through COVID-19. Her training and background in the senior industry qualify her as an essential member of our team at Brookdale Woodward Estates. But her dedication, passion and energy make her irreplaceable. Paula is not only caring for the residents of Brookdale, she also cares for her dad who's a senior and sister who is bravely fighting cancer.
