Description
Welcome, one and all, to our time capsule from the 80s and 90s celebrating indie filmmaking and diversity representation! Join us Saturday 4/23 at the Renberg Theatre to screen good works in good company with Good Job Films x SharpeHaus. We will provide you with some retro entertainment infused with modern representation and fun twists. Kicking off, we have the 1st anniversary screening of SharpeHaus' Mixtape Capsule. Released on #TrueColorsDay in support of True Colors United's mission to end queer youth homelessness, one year on, it remains SharpeHaus' love letter to queer visibility through the medium of the cover song. Featuring a Q&A with Mixtape Capsule performers Reina Lam, Grammy nominee Qing Jaila, Amanda Kruger and Leo Sheng (The Matrix: Resurrections, The L Word: Generation Q), as well as special guests Exec Producer Leon Elias Wu, Music Producer Hubie Wang, and Director James DeAngelis. Following that, we have our main event: an exclusive, private screening of Good Job Films' Three Kings! The inaugural project under the Good Job Films masthead, in association with SharpeHaus Entertainment, is a thriller that follows two metalhead best friends through suburban boredom in the 90s, before they stumble into a ritual horror game that goes darkly awry. Writer/Director James DeAngelis (Sugar Pine 7, Mixtape Capsule), DP/Producer Lukas Zanoli (Steph vs. The Game, 13 Reasons Why), and Camera Op/Producer Nick Vaughn ("Porsche x StarWars", Mixtape Capsule) bring almost a decade of collective film industry experience to the table. We know you're in for a chilling good time. Reception to follow. We would love to celebrate our year of achievements with you, our friends and fans. Hope to see you there!
