SEASONAL WEED SPECIALIST – TEMPORARY

THE POSITION: Provides quality technical support and education to landowners and public land managers throughout Kootenai County to implement sound site-specific land stewardship practices, including, but not limited to, control of noxious weeds, pasture/vegetation management, fertilization and erosion control.
• $16.00 per hour
• Three (3) month seasonal position generally running from May to August

THIS IS THE JOB FOR YOU IF:
• You have a high school or general education (GED) diploma
• You possess or have the ability to obtain a valid driver's license, and are you insurable
• You enjoy seasonal work, generally May to August
• You have considerable knowledge of, or ability to identify plants, weeds or exotic plants
• You have or can obtain a working knowledge of the Idaho State Noxious Weed Law; County and State weed lists and procedures governing the implementation of the law
• You are able to find internet sources and reference materials; understand effective methods of weed control, herbicide mode of action and agricultural practices
