Description

Naval Order visit to USS OLYMPIA in Philadelphia. Held in coordination with Philadelphia and New York City Commanderies NOTE: there are expenses for travel (gas and parking) as well as lunch. Ship visit tickets are free for us. USS Olympia was Admiral of the Navy George Dewey, USN's flagship in the Battle of Manila Bay. Arrive at 10:30 a.m. (park for $15 or so at Hilton Hotel Penn's Landing) Wreath laying at 11:00 a.m. Tour of ship at 11:30 a.m. Lunch at Rope and Anchor 12:00 noon (expect $40, might be less) Speaker during Lunch Depart after Lunch and Speaker This is a 3-hour drive from Washington DC, so we will coordinate Carpools. We will meet at 6:30 a.m. and depart at 7:00a.m from "South Rendezvous Point" - the Northwest corner of the Target parking lot at the Springfield Mall.
