Enjoy an evening amidst the grounds of Morven's historic gardens while enjoying American Roots Music from the 1920s through 1940s Morven's pool house is the perfect stage for an early 20th century summertime songfest. The Ragtime Relics perform vintage American music that spans several genres and decades including ragtime, pre-war blues, jazz age, early country, swing era, bluegrass even early rock & roll. The group features some of America’s most memorable songs from the early 20th Century which might have been played and heard by Morven's residents and visitors. The evening's program will also feature lively commentary offering an historical perspective on the music played. The band is led by its founder, Karl Dentino on fingerstyle guitar, harmonica and vocals; and features: Jennifer Jang on upright bass, Bo Child on mandolin, and Brian Yank on fiddle and slide guitar. Bring your own blanket or chair - seating areas will be indicated on the lawn - and enjoy a summertime evening in Morven's backyard with The Ragtime Relics.
