Chicago Southwest Youth Track & Field Program Illinois Lightning Youth Track & Field Club is a youth-based track and field organization that serves girls and boys from ages 5 to 18. Our mission is to provide our athletes an opportunity to reach their highest potential by developing both their athletic ability and character through coaching and mentoring. The Illinois Lighting Program is designed for youth to have fun, to become faster and stronger physically, and to learn positive mental skills to build self-confidence Training Information – All Practices will be hosted at Shepard High School’s brand new beautiful track & field stadium. -Practices will be Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:30PM until 8:00PM starting Tuesday, May 24th through Thursday, July 28th. -There are also two Saturday practices from 9AM until 10:30AM on June 18th & July 9th. -We will host two Saturday home meets to showcase our skills on Saturday, June 25th at 9AM and Saturday, July 23rd at 9AM
