She is the creator of “Badass x Bonita” a movement for all humans who are giving themselves and their community wings through revolutionary love. Guerra is a TEDx Speaker and received the “Agent of Change'' award from Univision’s Premios Juventud and has been recognized for her work in various publications including Oprah Magazine, Today, People, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Univision, Televisa, Remezcla, R29Somos, and FiercebyMitu. Kim Guerra continues to use her voice and platform to advocate for the immigrant, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, survivors, mujeres, and oppressed communities. She was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, CA. Kim graduated from Cornell University and received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Antioch University in Seattle. She’s currently based in Los Angeles and Coyoacan. "Mariposa x Guerrera" is a revised version of "Mariposa" a collection of Spanglish poetry meant to bring healing and empowerment to mujeres mariposas who are giving themselves wings. This book is like vaporu for the soul and corazon of mujeres who are loving themselves into a garden. Kim added about a hundred new poems originally intended to be a part of this collection!
