Screening of film Private Violence and Discussion on Domestic Violence. CEU's available.
Since 1981, National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) has challenged the Nation to confront and remove barriers to achieving justice for all victims of crime. During NCVRW, we celebrate the accomplishments of the victims’ rights movement and reflect on how far we have come and also all of the opportunities for continued support and advocacy for victims of crime.
This year NCVRW will be observed April 24–30.
Join Naperville Police Department and Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services as they honor NCVRW and host a free film screening of Private Violence, a compelling documentary that explores the complicated and complex realities of intimate partner violence through the eyes of a survivor. At the conclusion of the film, NPD Social Service and Family Shelter staff will facilitate a debrief discussion and provide an overview of supports and services available for survivors and those who care for them.
Light refreshments will be provided
CEU's for CDVPs, LSWs and LCSW will be available
