Country Dance, Swing, & Polka for beginners and experienced dancers alike! Also, local donuts & Coffee. Welcome to your perfect Saturday.
Aaaaand Swing your Partner, Do-Si-Do, Donut Holes and a Cup'O'Joe!
But seriously - all cheesy Square-Dance Rhyming aside - this daytime party is going to be amazing.
We're going to teach you a nice variety of swing dance moves, country dancing, and polka that will be sure to get you moving the next time you're at pretty much any Party, Country nightclub, Oktoberfest, or Barn Dance in the US.
Monuts of Durham supplies tasty, bite-sized treats, while we are also super committed to prodiving locally-sourced GLUTEN FREE & VEGAN options. Wash it down with local coffee to fuel your fire and then get back on the dance floor!
Bring a guest, grab all your cousins, or join us solo. There will be plenty of people to dance with! And loads of doughnuts and coffee.
All people welcome.
Don't worry, we have taken COVID very seriously; per Durham local mandates, we're not requiring masks, though you may still choose to wear one. We have hand sanitizer on-site and restrooms for handwashing. All of our staff are vaccinated, and the studio has fantastic airflow; also, you're encouraged to dance with many people but aren't required to. We'll respect everyone's individual space!
It's going to be a very fun day. Come dancing!
Location: 410 W Geer St on the North edge of Downtown Durham. We're in a big, pink building next to Cocoa CInnamon on the Northeast corner of Geer St & Foster. Seriously, great, big mural wrapped around the building. It's awesome.
Parking: Front lot on Geer St fills up fast, so there is also a side/rear lot with entry on Foster Street. If that is full, street parking and nearby lots are available. Allow a little time on the front end.
Arrival: No Physical Tickets necessary. Stop by the front door/front desk and your name will be on a list if you've RSVP'd.
