ASIST ~ Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training Two-day Workshop ASIST is founded on the principle that everyone can make a difference in preventing suicide. The more people in the community who have suicide intervention training, the more likely it is they will be able to identify someone at risk earlier and intervene to keep them safe sooner. ASIST is a two-day, practical skill-based workshop in which attendees learn how to:Recognize when opportunities for helping are presentRespond to persons at risk of suicideApply an evidence based and scientifically proven intervention modelLink people with community resourcesHealth & Safety Protocols will be followed Training is offered Free of Charge to Residents, Educators and Service Providers residing/serving St. Charles County.
