Waging Peace
Praying for Peace on World Labyrinth Day
Presented by Fr. Joe Nassal, cpps
“Wage peace with your breath.”
— Mary Oliver
As the Russian invasion of Ukraine tragically reminds the world how nations continue to wage war upon other nations, people of all races, cultures, and creeds must come together to wage peace.
We will begin the day in prayer and reflection on how we can wage peace in our families and faith communities, our schools and places of work, our neighborhoods and ultimately our world.
After lunch, we will participate in the observance of World Labyrinth Day by taking steps for peace. We will “Walk as One at 1” joining others around the world in prayer and meditation as we walk the Reconciliation Labyrinth at Precious Blood Renewal Center and seek to create a wave of peace washing across all time zones.
