Are you a food entrepreneur who is looking to level up your business? Have you been wanting
to learn more about proper food nutrition, safety, and labeling?
Startup Tucson in partnership with Tucson City of Gastronomy have teamed up to present a
series of three workshops aimed at supporting small, local food businesses to grow and scale
their business.
The food nutrition, safety, and labeling workshop will teach local food entrepreneurs food
safety requirements, nutrition information, and best labeling practices. Pima County Health
Department officials will lead this workshop to ensure participants are in compliance with local
and federal health regulations. This workshop will cover what types of permits, licenses, and
fees participants should plan for. This workshop will also feature University of Arizona experts
covering topics such as shelf life, food packaging, and nutritional labeling.
