Natural State Beer Company Releases GABF Gold Medal Winning Beer - Maibock Join us Saturday April 23rd as we celebrate the release of our Gold Medal Winning Maibock. Septemeber 2021, Natural State Beer Company took Gold in the Bock Category at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO for our Maibock. Maibock is a pale, strong, malty German lager similar to a Helles but Bock (strong) strength, with a higher ABV. It's well attenuated and very drinkable, also know as a Helles Bock. The Great American Beer Festival is recognized as the world's largest professional beer competition, it's the Oscar's of beer competitions without the Smith-Rock drama. 170 judges evaluated 9,680 entries from 2,192 breweries from all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. The best beers in 97 beer categories covering 175 different beer styles (including all subcategories) were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals...AND Natural State Beer Company won a frickin' Gold Medal! Your little 7 barrel microbrewery in Northwest Arkansas brewed the best Bock beer in the Nation. We think that is worth celebrating! After the ceremony there was a run on the taproom to try this award winning beer, unfortunately we had already run out of the Maibock. It has been 6 long months since our win and the anticipation has been building. The 2022 Maibock has been lagering (cold conditioning) for the last few months to attain the perfect balance and smoothness. The beer tells us when it's ready, and it's ready. Time to finally celebrate this win with the community and friends! Natural Nation Mug Club Members gain access to this beer a day before on Friday April 22nd.
