PARAMUS, NJ — Ahead of what's forecasted to be a major snowstorm Wednesday night, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco announced the county has preemptively canceled COVID-19 testing at Bergen Community College in Paramus for Thursday. The National Weather Service is projecting 12-18 inches of snow for parts of North Jersey, including Bergen County. Though testing won't be available Thursday, you can still get tested this week. "Due to the impending weather, testing at Bergen Community College on Thursday, December 17th has been cancelled. At this time, testing remains as scheduled on Wednesday (12/16) and Saturday (12/19)," Tedesco said, in a Facebook post. Tests are available in Lot A at the college, located at 400 Paramus Rd. The drive-thru site uses COVID-19 Nasal Swab Antigen tests, which produces rapid results that allow residents to know how they tested in as little as 24 hours. Testing is free to county residents regardless of health insurance status, according to Tedesco. However, a form of identification and proof of residency is required. A test must be scheduled online, and no walk-ups are available. Register at this link: https://bit.ly/3lWdgns
