EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Screen-Printing Machine Operator is primarily responsible for setting up and operating automatic and manual screen-printing machines to print designs onto textile products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Following are accountabilities included but not limited to: • Gather together all materials required and correctly set up the machine to produce the product according to customer specifications. • Program the machine, as needed, to complete specific jobs. • Verify setup and load items onto the machine, monitoring the production to detect and correct ink levels, machine malfunctions or product quality issues. • Inspects printing equipment and performs general maintenance and clean up, as needed. • Trains workers in use of printing equipment and in quality standards as required and assigned. • Perform other related duties and required and assigned. SKILLS: • Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions and memos. • Must have basic math skills. • Must be able to use basic measuring devices. • Basic problem-solving skills. • It will also be helpful to have reclaim and screen making experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability to stand and turn and bend for long periods of time. • Ability to keep immediate work area clean of debris. • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. • Hearing must be within normal range, or correctable to enable operator to easily hear machine alarms. • Vision should be correctable to easily perform all tasks. TRAINING REQUIRED: On the job training will be provided for all job operations, safety procedures and quality standards. Specific training will be provided as required for reading measuring instruments. Additional Training can be given to properly qualified individuals
