Press release from the Town of Shrewsbury: April 4, 2022 On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, the Town's consultants, Weston & Sampson Engineers, will be starting the daytime manhole inspections for the Year 11 Sewer Investigations Project. This initial phase of the project will last approximately two weeks. The second phase of the project will include daytime television inspections of sewer lines and nighttime flow isolation and is scheduled to begin later this month. The Town is on year 11 of an ongoing 12 year program to reduce inflow and infiltration in the sewer system. Additional updates will be posted as the work progresses. The manhole inspection phase of this project will involve Weston & Sampson employees opening manholes, conducting visual inspections, taking measurements, and recording all of the data. This information is later used to conduct repairs and improvements to manholes During the spring, this work will take place in the following areas: Subarea 3D – Rawson Hill Drive/ Deerfield Road and Colonial Drive/Bridle Path areas.
