This year's railroad day subject is all about the "Pennsylvania Railroad" and its influence on the history of Columbia
Our guest speakers will talk about the pivotal role Columbia played in being one of the largest and more important railroad hubs in the state Pennsylvania. Take a historic tour on an old vintage trolley for $5.00 per person at three different stops. The Columbia Historic Preservation Society where two amazing model train will be running, Columbia Crossing to check out the Shifter Showdown .
Please Note, this event is totally, FREE! except for the trolley tours and the "Speeder" rides, all are welcome.
"Speeders" are small gas-powered units that ride on the railroad tracks, kind of like little trains. We will be giving rides on the spur line that runs through Columbia the whole way out to Malleable Road and back, for a nominal fee, it's for kids of all ages!
The museum will be open as well that day with our "HO" and "O" gauge model trains running on the first and second floors!.
