STAMFORD, CT — Stamford Downtown, in conjunction with various City of Stamford departments, will host a free Touch-A-Truck event during the school spring break on April 14. Touch-A-Truck is a family-friendly event designed to allow children to explore, climb and touch vehicles of all shapes and sizes. The Stamford Fire Department, Stamford Police Department, Stamford Emergency Services, city of Stamford Operations Department will bring vehicles featuring emergency and rescue vehicles as well as other city vehicles. This hands-on event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Stamford. It is a great opportunity for children to see, touch and explore their favorite big trucks, heavy duty equipment and large vehicles.
