4 Re-Elected Lindenhurst Officials Sworn In

LINDENHURST, NY — Four Lindenhurst re-elected officials were sworn in on Thursday night, the Village of Lindnenhurst announced. Trustee Maryann Weckerle, Trustee Patrick M. Pichichero, and Village Justice H. John Bopp were sworn in to office by Suffolk County District Court Judge James McDonaugh in Village Hall. Trustee Weckerle was also re-appointed as the village deputy mayor, officials said. Evan M. Zuckerman was also re-appointmented as the associate justice of the Lindenhurst Village justice court. "I am excited to have the re-appointment to continue serving the people of the Lindenhurst community as the associated village justice," said Zuckerman. "I am grateful to Mayor Michael Lavorata and Village Justice John Bopp for this appointment, and I am humbled by their confidence in me." Village Justice Court Associate Justice Evan M. Zuckerman (left) and Village Justice H. John Bopp (right) were re-appointed on Thursday. (Village of Lindenhurst) Trustee Weckerle was elected to her first elected in March 2006. She was later re-elected in 2010, 2014 and 2018. In 2017, she was was appointed as deputy mayor. Trustee Pinchichero has held the position since 2018. He has also previously served as as a Town of Babylon bay constable, assistant to the village board, chairman of the planning board, chairman of the zoning board of appeals and chairman of the Suffolk County advisory home improvement board. Justin Bopp was first elected Lindenhurst Village justice in 1990. He was then re-elected in 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018. "Trustee Weckerle, Trustee Pichichero, and Village Justice Bopp all work tirelessly and devote hundreds of hours to Village matters," said Mayor Michael Lavorata. "Thank you for your dedication, for sacrifices and time away from your families, and for your commitment to advocate for what you think is best for our Lindenhurst Village."
