ARLINGTON, VA — A man had his car stolen by two suspects on Langston Boulevard in Arlington Friday morning after he got out of his car to see if they needed help with their vehicle, according to the Arlington County Police Department. The victim was not injured in the carjacking. The incident occurred two days after a man was the victim of a carjacking in an area south of the Ballston neighborhood in Arlington. At about 5 a.m. on Friday, the victim was inside his parked car in the 2600 block of Langston Boulevard east of Lyon Village when he saw a vehicle idling in the area. When he checked to see if the driver needed assistance, two unknown men got out of the vehicle, grabbed the victim and demanded money. The victim refused to hand over any money. The suspects then rummaged through his pockets and stole his keys, police said. One of the suspects returned to their vehicle and drove away, while the other suspect drove off with the victim's vehicle. The victim's vehicle is described as a 2010 Mazda 6, with a Virginia license plate XMW1811. The two suspects are described as Black males, wearing sweatshirts or jackets and wool hats, according to police. In the Wednesday morning incident in the Buckingham area of Arlington, the carjacking victim was outside his car when three unknown suspects approached and pushed him aside before entering the car and fleeing the scene with his car. In that carjacking, the suspects were described as three Black men between the ages of 20 and 30. Anyone with information about either carjacking is asked to contact the Police Department's Tip Line at 703-228-4180 or [email protected], or anonymously through the Arlington County Crime Solvers hotline at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
