MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Anyone interested in how to improve in-home care for older people in Montgomery County may be interested in the Commission on Aging's forum in Gaithersburg this year. The Commission said that this year's theme, titled "In-Home Care: We Can do Better," could be of interest to residents, caregivers, advocates, policy analysts, and service providers. "Many older adults need a helping hand with household chores or assistance with their medicines so they can continue living in their homes," said Barbara Selter, chair of the commission, in a news release. "Our goal is to identify ways to help people get the services they need. This year's forum topic is the Commission's top priority this year." The forum will begin person at at the Bohrer Park Activity Center and on Zoom, on May 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. "The event will offer insights into how in-home services can be delivered to better meet the needs of Montgomery County's diverse and growing population of older adults," the county's news release says. "Presenters and panelists will describe programs that are now available and suggest actions to strengthen and improve current approaches to in-home care." Register for the event here.
