Here are the top five stories today in Boulder: Boulder County proposing to require more fire-resistant materials for homes in eastern parts of the county. Under the proposed plan, new homes in eastern parts of Boulder County would be required to meet tougher fire-resistant construction requirements. The hope is that these changes will prevent future losses to homeowners, like those caused by the Marshall fire. (CO Sun) Not your average Boulder pot hole. The bus driver and those on the bus were all surprised on Wednesday afternoon, near 55th and Arapahoe Street, when the bus fell into a sinkhole. (CBS4)Hospitals warning residents not to forget COVID-19 completely. Colorado currently has its lowest-ever COVID-19 numbers, and daily caseloads and deaths are at where they were before the national emergency was declared – but hospitals are preparing for another wave. (FOX31) Heading south? Manitou Springs changing up paid parking program. The City Council adopted a new parking system that will include three different programs—aimed at easing congestion along the main corridor of the town.
