City To Begin Public Input Process On City Aquatics' Plan

Press release from the City of Louisville: April 6, 2022 Louisville Parks and Recreation and Olmsted Parks Conservancy, in partnership with Louisville Metro Council, will close the Scenic Loop in Cherokee Park for one day a month to vehicular traffic and open Uppill Road in Iroquois Park to vehicular traffic on weekends beginning this month. More here. Louisville Parks and Recreation is partnering with Brandstetter Carroll Inc. to develop a long-term aquatics master plan. This will include future usage and investment ideas and strategies for the city's current aquatics facilities (four existing outdoor pools and the Mary T. Meagher indoor facility). Plans for current and future programming based on the interests and needs of the community as well as recommendations for new aquatics facilities to fill existing gaps in pool and programming access will also be included.
