The "pointer" sisters

Description

Two 8-month-old, goofy, energetic sisters mixed with wirehaired pointer, Aussie, and possibly a tad Great Dane. Georgie, is 40+ lbs., is a happy girl who needs a job! She has more white on her chest and a panda eye, is super obsessed with playing ball and she can open a door handle. Alice is 50+ lbs., a loving loaf who will “bulldoze” her way into your heart. We work on her entrance and exit as she tends to burst through with excitement. Georgie uses her nose to locate treats or the ball where Alice uses her sight. Together, they make for a great short-stop and outfielder. They need a lot of space to run, jump and climb/perch. They have access to a quarter acre and they could surely use more. They are potty trained and have never destroyed anything in the house. Outdoor stuff, yes. These dogs are not for lazy or inexperienced dog owners. My husband and I have put in a lot of time and energy into these girls. We will be truly broken-hearted about rehoming them, but we have had a tough year with a series of surgeries with more to come. We can't give them the attention they need and deserve. They would do well with a patient, positive and consistent training experience. They just want to be with the people both in and outdoors. They currently live with 3 other small dogs and get along fine, they sit and watch the deer across the field and they've periodically shared an injured bird or two. I wouldn’t advise chickens, but I could be wrong. I think they would be okay with cats, but they have never been close to one and they don’t seem interested in the feral ones across the property. They are in need of leash training and they have they been fixed yet. Their vet advised that they go through their first cycle prior to being spayed. Please, only responsible, pro-active "dog friendly" people apply.
