Carnahan-mixed media, Lisa Colleen-writing and storytelling, Barbara Eberhard-gum bichromate and mixed media, Mary T. Ehrler-painting, Joe Hadamik-pottery, Robert Ryan-painting, and Michael Veltman- photography. Mary N. Carnahan has the soul of a gypsy and uses her wondering ways to create her art. She incorporates eclectic vintage with found objects and textures in her mixed media. Lisa Colleen, a lover of stories, believes in their power to heal, learn and grow. Barbara Eberhard works in Gum Bichromate, a historic printing process. There is emotionality to the gum print, like images you remember from dreams or scenes from your memory. Mary Ehrler's artwork is the culmination and assimilation of studying archetypal principles, the revelation of Soul entering this physical world, learning, growing leaving and returning from the Heavens that Soul resides in. Joe Hadamik tries to incorporate both nature and science into his pottery. With non-conventional tools he uses the techniques of raku and obvara. He works primarily in stoneware and porcelain. Robert Ryan primarily works in oils and acrylics and has worked on "canvases" as small as 2"x2" and as large as 30'x90' (billboards) He prefers painting in Realism and/or Trompe l'oeil styles. Michael Veltman's photographs illustrate the urban orchestra and the bustling din. artitude, founded in 2018, forms a beautifully cohesive group whose art compliments and enriches each other. Their work unifies to form a dramatic, illuminating and evocative show. Among them, the group has a dozen professional degrees and over 200 years of combined experience as professional artists. artitude's "11 by 7" is on exhibit May 1st. to May 29th, with a reception on Saturday May 7th, 6-8 p.m. Gallery Seven is located in the Gaylord Building, 200 West 8th Street in Lockport.
