GENEVA, IL — Seven finalists have been chosen for Geneva Commons' inaugural Pop-Up Contest, running through April 15. Ranging from a bread shop and cafe to boutiques and skincare stores, one will be crowned the winner and given a pop-up shop at the mall for the summer months. The community has an opportunity to engage with business owners at Saturday's Finalist Showcase Day. There, the seven finalists will test-run their concepts for the public. The exhibition takes place at the same time as the mall's Hopping Into Spring event. People can also vote on their favorite concept through the mall's website. While a social vote alone won't determine the winner, organizers said votes will be taken into consideration.
