Bethel Police: Man Offered Ride To Young Girl

BETHEL, CT — Police are seeking the public's assistance in their investigation of a man whom they say offered a young girl a ride Monday morning. Bethel police have reported that at approximately 8:10 a.m., an older model gold 2-door Saturn with an older, bald, white man driving, stopped and asked a young girl running to catch the school bus if she wanted a ride. The incident, which occurred in the area of Greenwood Avenue and Andrews Street, was witnessed by the girl's mother, according to police. The license plate number was not obtained. The Bethel Police Department is urging residents to be alert, and report any other information they may have to Officer Morris at 203-744-7900.
