GERMANTOWN, MD — A 29-year-old man has been seriously injured following a shooting in Germantown Wednesday night, authorities said. Around 11 p.m., officers responding to a report of a shooting in the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Rd. found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Montgomery County police said the victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. They do not believe the attack was random. Detectives ask anyone with additional information to call police at 240-773-6237. Anonymous tipsters can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online at https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/pol/howdoI/crime-solvers.html. Crime Solvers may pay up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
