OCEAN CITY, NJ — Counting down the days until Memorial Day weekend? You won't have to wait that long for a month full of Ocean City activities. April in Ocean City means a month full of activities, including Girls Weekend, The Great Egg Hunt and the Doo Dah Parade. Here's what's on the schedule. Girls Weekend April 3-5 A Friday evening fashion show starts off a weekend of shopping and dining specials, accommodation packages, wellness classes and more — all showcasing Ocean City's downtown Asbury Avenue shopping district. The Great Egg Hunt 2:30 p.m. April 4 and 11 On the beach from 11th Street to 14th Street. Separate areas for age groups and children with special needs (14th Street). Arrive on time. Easter Sunrise Service 6:30 a.m. April 12 A traditional non-denominational service by the sea at the Music Pier. All are welcome. Dueling Pianos Show noon April 12 The Philly Keys will be performing their hit dueling pianos show starting at noon in front of the Music Pier. The musicians will take a break for the annual Easter Fashion Promenade, then resume playing. Easter Fashion Stroll April 12 Come to the front of the Music Pier dressed in your Easter's best to participate in the Fashion Stroll and meet the Easter Bunny. Judging begins at 1 p.m. Prizes awarded for Best Dressed Children, Teen, Adults and Family. Doo Dah Parade noon April 18 Welcome spring with this comedy parade complete with more than 300 basset hounds. Parade starts on Asbury Avenue at Sixth Street. It continues through the downtown and turns up to the boardwalk at 12th Street. Anybody interested in joining the parade can register at www.ocnj.us/Doo-Dah-Parade. Mr. Mature America Pageant 7 p.m. April 18 Ocean City presents the Mr. Mature America Pageant for men 55 years and older at the Music Pier. Contestants compete in talent, poise and interview categories. Barry Williams, who starred as America's most reliable big brother in the sitcom "The Brady Bunch," will host the event and be available for special meet-and-greets.
