GERMANTOWN, MD — Know anyone whose work, service, and contributions have positively impacted human and civil rights in Montgomery County?
Between now and Thursday, Oct. 15, the county's Office of Human Rights is accepting nominations for its Hall of Fame.
Residents can nominate individuals, either living or deceased, who have made great personal sacrifices to create a better county for all, officials said in a Thursday press release.
Select nominees will be recommended for induction into the Hall of Fame by a committee. The virtual induction ceremony is planned for Sunday, Dec. 6.
The biennial event began in 2001. More than 90 people have been inducted over the years.
For a complete listing of inductees or to find the nomination form on the Office of Human Rights website.
