Still searching for the right fit for Scarlet...Please share - Thank you! Please do not flag- I’m not selling her, I’m rehoming and donating the $ to animal rescue! This is Scarlet. She just turned one. I rescued her from the Humane Society six months ago. She was transferred from Lassen County, during the summer fires last year. They had scooped her off the streets, with no known early history. She had some deep scars on the top of her head when they got her. I wish things were different, but she can no longer stay with us. My two dogs are no longer getting along and they can’t peacefully live together. I believe they are both trying to dominate, both Alpha females. I am in desperate need of finding her a new place…as soon as possible. My other dog is temporarily staying with my son until I can find a proper new home for Scarlet. This girl is goofy, loving, strong, playful, wants to be a lap dog, loves to play, loves to chew on toys and bones, enjoys her walks and treats…She weighs about 65lbs of pure muscle, is long and lean, is current on her shots, is spayed and has some basic manners. She is crate trained for when I go to work during the day and she sleeps at my feet on the bed at night. She will need more training, and I do not know how she is with small children or small animals. Also, she is very protective. She will alert, growl or bark at strangers at the door, but never goes at people, she is just protecting us. It takes her a minute to warm up to people, but she does. I am not sure how she would be with other dogs at this point, but I think she misses her play buddy. It would be a case by case basis for any introductions. I will be doing a home check before handing her to just anyone. She is a special girl who needs a great home! This is not something I take lightly at all. I will answer any and all questions you have. Please email to begin the process. Instead of a rehoming fee, I am asking for a $100 donation that I would also match, to be given to a local Rescue. Please feel free to share this with anyone you know who might be interested in Scarlet. Thank you.
