Library Cardholders Can Now Read 7K Foreign Newspapers, Magazines

GERMANTOWN, MD — Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) cardholders can now access more than 7,000 of the world's top newspapers and magazines through a new digital distribution platform. The library system recently announced the launch of PressReader, an online database that offers content from more than 120 countries — without advertisements or incomplete story extracts. There are no limits on downloads and back issues. "We are so pleased to add PressReader to our digital lineup," said MCPL Director Anita Vassallo. "This offers a great opportunity for our residents to stay connected to the world on many topics through one platform."
