Athena is a loving, protective, and a beautiful six year old Rottweiler. The owner, Katie, due to work schedule and moving feels she is unable to meet the needs that Athena needs in terms of attention and daily care. Athena has a meniscus injury that she healed timidly from and this causes her a small but noticeable stutter in her step that she has had for about a year. Athena does not do well in crates. Athena has done very well in the past living with a Siberian husky and golden retriever. Athena is protective of human beings and will bark to people getting too close to a property line. Athena is shy and timid at first meeting with folks. She becomes your best friend within 30 minutes to a hour. We are not going to accept just anyone. We will meet with anyone showing genuine interest and make a decision from there.
