Black lab blend hoping for new start

This handsome and sweet male black lab mix is ready to find his new place. Saw him wandering and panting in the street. I gave him some food and he willingly jumped in the car. I took him in just to help him out, but unfortunately I can’t keep him because we have an army of small dogs that want nothing to do with him. He’s pretty affectionate despite his circumstances. Wants to be pet and loved. He doesn’t seem to be comfortable with the leash and he takes a bit to open up. I noticed some scratches on his ear and head. Looks like he may have been roughed up a little while he was loose. I’m not sure how he would behave around bigger dogs or cats since we don’t have any. He’s been outside here and doing okay. Searching for a kind soul or persons willing to take him in and nurture him back to be a fully trusting pup again. Super small fee to adopt him.
