The Weatherization Crew Member will ensure work is completed in accordance with the work order, while following company and industry guidelines. Job Functions: >Insulates attics, crawl spaces, basements, or walls using various types of insulation. >Seals ductwork and vents; installs new air ducts or exhaust fans when necessary. >Records and documents weatherization work performed. >Clears and disposes of old insulation according to established safety guidelines. >Loads and unloads insulation materials. >Installs or sprays insulation in attics. >Measures and cuts insulation to fit into walls, ceilings, and around pipes. >Fastens insulation in place with tape, screws, staples, or fasteners as needed. >Transports needed tools and equipment to jobsite. >Follows company and industry safety guidelines and regulations. >Performs other related duties as required. Required Skills/Abilities: >Extensive knowledge of insulation materials and ability to determine best material for a project. >Ability to follow instructions. >Ability to use hand tools and power tools to install insulation. >Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. >Excellent time management skills. Education and Experience: >High school diploma or equivalent preferred. >Related experience preferred. Physical Requirements: >Prolonged periods standing, bending, or climbing. >Ability to work in confined spaces. >Ability to work in hot and cold environments. >Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.
