PHILADELPHIA — Several Ocean City High School students are now Emmy Award winners. Students earned accolades at the Mid-Atlantic High School Student Production Awards, according to the school district. OC-TV features programming created by OCHS students. "Current OC," the students' magazine show, won two awards. They were honored at Temple University. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) awarded two students for their production called "WAWA Addiction." Reporter Jacob Schneider and videographer Zachary Card earned the award for "light news." OCHS students also earned the "magazine program" award for the Feb. 7 edition of "Current OC." The following were honored: Taylor Fusco, talent/anchorAliJane Robel, producerPaul Giordano, directorElizabeth Murray, technical directorNathan Goudie, stage managerTanner Mitzel, character generationBen Wiley, audio engineerGreg Wheeldon, advisorThe "WAWA Addiction" report offers lighthearted suggestions to curb your spending at the convenience store, such as making coffee and hoagies at home. NATAS is one of several organizations that presents the Emmy Awards.
