OCEAN CITY, NJ — An Ocean City director's movie will hit the big screen. "Exit 0," directed by E.B. Hughes will screen next month at the Garden State Film Festival.
The film follows a young couple setting out on a weekend getaway in hopes of mending their failing relationship. But a seemingly innocent weekend turns dark when the man discovers a videotape chronicling the events of a murder in his own hotel room from years before.
The film will screen from 2:45-5 p.m. March 29 at The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel, Kingsley Room, in Asbury Park. That will be the last day of the festival, which begins Wednesday.
"We are extremely proud to present Exit 0 as a part of our 18th Annual Film Festival in Asbury Park, and to showcase the exceptional talent from our state as well as serve as a launching pad for the next generation of film maker," said Lauren Concar Sheehy, the festival's executive director.
The Garden State Film Festival celebrates independent films each year. The festival features world premieres, Hollywood stars and industry panels.
Individual screening tickets are $15 in advance and $17 at the door. Weekend passes are $55 in advance and $60 at the door.
Day Passes are also available. The Saturday Day Pass is $30 and Sunday Day Pass is $25. Tickets are available at https://www.gsff.org/2020-films/ and at festival box offices at each venue.
