Description
This unique job involves using primarily high-powered lasers in downtown Waco to guard, deter, and repel birds from landing and roosting in trees over night. This prevents noise and a build-up of droppings.
Each shift is only 1.25 hours per night starting at dusk. Each shift pays $26. Paydays are every other Friday. This is a perfect, easy job for someone close to downtown looking to make some extra easy money while getting a bit of excercise. Peaceful and interesting work, good exercise, good pay.
You will be required to be on time, stay in your designated zone, stay attentive, repel birds then guard the trees in their zone. Birds are not harmed during this process. You must be consistent with checking in with the Regional Manager (remotely) at the start and end of each shift.
Must be able to communicate in fluent English in order to answer questions by a very curious general public. The lasers are not harmful to humans or animals.
You must be willing to work at least 3 shifts per week (scheduled in advance consistently), either Sun, Tues, Thurs, or Mon, Wed, Fri., mostly monitoring bird activity. When a flock(s) of birds arrive in your zone you will need to perform an extra shift that week so that you can abate the flock(s) for 3 nights in a row (4 evenings that week total). This can better be explained during the interview or first working shift.
There will be brisk walking involved during the shift, so please be able to handle the physical demand. Birds are in no way harmed during the abatement process. Serious applicants only. Will train and provide tools.
Thank you for your interest.
