Description
OCEAN CITY, NJ — Here's the latest update on the Bay Avenue Project, according to city officials.
Work for the Week of Dec. 16-20
As of the end of the day Friday, the contractor's south crew will have installed new PVC pipe, backfilled and paved to a point midway between 24th and 25th streets. The north crew will have progressed southward and completed the same work to a point immediately south of 16th Street.
From Monday (12/16/19) to Friday (12/20/19), the work will continue in the same directions for both crews.
Traffic
On Monday, Bay Avenue will again be closed from 34th to 14th streets. Traffic detours will be established to divert motorists to West Avenue with a police traffic director stationed at 14th Street to assist in traffic control.
It is expected that by the end of the week (12/20/19), the south crew will be working north of 24th Street. Once this happens, the closure of Bay will be between 24th and 14th Streets.
