MARMORA, NJ — A Mormara man and Philadelphia mafia member was sentenced to 15 years in prison Thursday for dealing large quantities of drugs. Joseph Servidio distributed 300 grams of crystal methamphetamine and thousands of pills containing heroin and fentanyl, according to U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito.
Servidio, aka "Joey Electric" is a member of La Cosa Nostra (LCN), the Mafia, according to authorities. He distributed more than 200 grams of fentanyl and heroin, court documents said.
Along with prison time, Servidio was sentenced to five years of supervised release, according to the ruling in Camden federal court.
Servidio distributed the pills that contained heroin and fentanyl with conspirator Carl Chianese, according to court documents.
The pills were stamped with markings that made them look similar to opioid pills — Oxycodone or Percocet. Servidio and Chianese also distributed multiple-ounce quantities of meth, according to documents.
Servidio and Chianese sold the pills and meth to undercover FBI agents on multiple occasions, according to authorities.
Chianese, 80, was sentenced in March to 10 years in prison and ordered to forfeit his firearm and money. Salvatore Piccolo, another member of the Philadelphia LCN, was sentenced to 150 months in prison in November after selling meth to an undercover FBI agent.
