Job Description: Service Technician/Install - Lead the crew on residential and commercial installation of new systems. Perform daily service calls to residential or commercial properties. Job Duties: • Runs jobs as lead install and leads the crew on calls. • Understands the operating principles of heating, air conditioning, and work safety practices related to HVAC work. • Possesses knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in the repair of heating and air conditioning equipment in residential and light commercial buildings. • Performs daily work duties associated with the trade with minimal supervision in the field. • Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair tasks in the operation of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems in residential homes. • Repairs and maintains thermostats, air filters, blower fans, belts, and bearings. • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs various makes and models of HVAC equipment. Criteria Points: *3 years minimum experience required *Trade or vocational school (not required but is a plus) *Must be authorized to work in the US *Availability to be on call after hours 1 week a month (required) *Salary may vary depending on experience Job Requirements: • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC equipment in the service field • Valid and clean driver’s license • Valid EPA License Preferred • Well-versed in the use of Freon R22 & Puron R410A as well as proper Freon/Puron recovery methods • Able to pass a criminal background check – no felonies • Possess an analytical and mechanical aptitude • Able to follow blueprints and understand technical instructions • Solid communication skills • Able to recognize and locate conditions which require repair and maintenance work • Able to take note and keep accurate records • Able to explain technical information to clients at a level they understand • Able to work independently • Physically able to climb ladders and to lift objects up to fifty pounds • Able to install and wire systems on change outs
